Ingredients
- 1 lb chicken or goat meat
- 2 onions, chopped
- 2 tomatoes, chopped
- 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp black peppercorns
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp oil
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander for garnish
Instructions
- Marinate the meat with chili powder, salt, and lemon juice for 30 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large pan or kadai over medium-high heat.
- Add onions and cook until golden brown.
- Add tomatoes, ginger-garlic paste, black peppercorns, cumin, and coriander powder. Sauté until tomatoes soften.
- Add the marinated meat and stir well to coat with the spice mixture.
- Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a simmer.
- Cover and cook on low heat until the meat is tender, approximately 35–45 minutes.
- Adjust salt and spices to taste.
