Ingredients
- 4 oz silver tequila
- 2 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz orange liqueur (Triple Sec or Cointreau)
- 1-2 fresh jalapeño slices (seeds removed for less heat)
- 1 tsp agave nectar or simple syrup
- Coarse sea salt for rim
- Lime wedges for garnish
- Ice cubes
- 1 jalapeño slice for garnish
Instructions
- Rim two rocks glasses with lime juice and dip in coarse sea salt. Set aside.
- In a cocktail shaker, muddle 1-2 jalapeño slices gently to release oils without breaking them completely.
- Add tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liqueur, and agave nectar to the shaker.
- Fill shaker with ice and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds.
- Double strain the mixture into the prepared glasses filled with fresh ice.
- Garnish each glass with a lime wedge and a jalapeño slice.
- Serve immediately while cold.
